The second theme in entrepreneurship is innovation, which involves transforming and revolutionizing existing products or services to cope up with the changing global environment.
The third theme is growth; this involves the continual efforts of an entrepreneur to expand his business locally and internationally. An entrepreneur is on the constant look out on how to create new wayes to make his business grow and become a huge success.
These themes are the key factors which businesses are founded upon. The largest corporations you find today did not start out big, rather they started out as small enterprises by visionaries who want more than what is offered to them. You can see from the history of some of the most successful business today that the founders of these businesses have taken great leaps of faith and incredible amounts of risks in order to be what they are today.
You can look wherever you want and you will see the results of entrepreneurship. But it is most obvious in Home-based Business because this is a new industry. Some of the riches names in the world were unheard of before they took risks and were able to succeeded. So whether we realize it or not, it is the entrepreneurs who drive the global environment now a days. They are the ones who are always seeking out opportunities and taking risks to improve our world and profit from it in return.

Can you recommend a biography of a successfull enterpreneur?I am trying to make a fresh start this year with my small business, making a business plan and so on, and I would like to get inspired by reading someone's biography. Especially that of someone who started from scratch to build a great business. Any suggestions?

In order to become an entrepreneur, you have to do two things:
1. develop (on your own time) a product or service, so that it's something that you own; and
2. sell that product or service to someone else.
Once you've done those things, you are an entrepreneur.
If you are a software engineer, then I suggest that you use your knowledge to develop a software product that you think will be useful to someone else. You must do this on your own time, using your own equipment, or else your current employer might stake a claim of ownership of your product.
Once you've developed your software product, you have to sell it to someone else. That means figuring out who might be interested in buying your product. It means visiting them and telling them how great your product is, and showing them why and how they might want to use it.
Being an entrepreneur doesn't require that you have a team to support you, or a bunch of money. All you need are your brains, your talents, and whatever tools are required, in order to develop your product.

The ability to excel where others plod on. Successful enterpreneurs should be able to see an opportunity and exploit it. They should know when to stop when something is not working, how to get the best from people, and always have a mentor who is proven to guide them who they trust.
