A manager should be fairly competent in many aspects of the overall business and employees' jobs. However, that doesn't mean a manager has to be great at every position within the business. Ideally each employee should be efficient at his or her job. It shouldn't be the manager's duty to pick up the slack since the manager has his or her own duties. If you're a leader, then lead. You can learn skills you're weak in, but they'll probably never be your strengths. Keep striving for improvement.
